What to Expect When You Visit Us
If you've never visited Sacred Tapestry, you may be wondering what to expect at our worship. Our worship space has comfortable chairs and tables instead of traditional pews. Our professional nursery staff is available for infants and toddlers, or they are welcome in worship with you.
The complimentary brunch line ( furnished by the congregation) might simply be some fresh fruit, cold cereals and muffins, or you may be treated to a full table of hot choices like hash browns and breakfast casseroles, pasta dishes, baked chicken and rice, biscuits & gravy, fresh garden salads, butter rolls, fruit & nut breads, cookies, donuts and cakes.
The Shoe Box Crew youth group is an awesome group of young people that meet every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m to do mission work, plan events, participate in projects, learn about God, and discuss subjects relevant to today's youth. All youth welcome.
Greetings and morning announcments begin about 11:00am, feel free to warm up your coffee, settle in, visit with your neighbor and enjoy the musical stylings of Ben Davidson on the keyboard. A new teaching based on scripture is presented each week, and usually lasts about 15 minutes. After that, we collect the offering and celebrate Holy Communion. We have an "open table" which means everyone is welcome to participate in Holy Communion, but if you are not comfortable receiving Communion, it's perfectly fine to meditate, pray, or just enjoy the music.
We usually finish up Communion a bit before noon, but there is no rush to leave! We also have an outdoor seating area with a speaker system so you can sit outside (and even bring your dog if they play nicely with other dogs and are on leash) and hear the music and message, and of course get your snacks and coffee as well.
You are welcome to dress comfortably, whatever that means for you. You will see people wearing bluejeans and flip flops, casual dresses, t-shirts and shorts, golf shirts, occasionally a suit jacket. We hope you'll come visit. We really do. It's pretty cool!
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
